On pace for 94 wins
Would have seemed low after April, high after May.

Doyers lose, lead at 3.5 at break
But they have Kershaw and Turner back. Not good for us.Doyers lose, lead at 3.5 at break
Awesome... but we're not at a "break"... yet.
Like I said in another thread, I hope this month isn’t just a product of the competition.

Sure looks that way... However, the Giants at home is always a tough series, though it looks like we'll avoid MadBum... St. Louis is a solid team. We should hopefully take care of business against San Diego at home. And then we close out things before the break at Colorado who, though they have crapped the bed as of late, is always a tough out for us, and then we wrap up at a very tough Atlanta team... so we should have a better feel as we close out the first half.
Since when is 60% half?
Doyers lose, lead at 3.5 at the half
On pace for 94 wins, which would be a great season, but I’m hoping some momentum can get them closer to 98-100....just wishful thinking, not based on stats, but if they can get thru July with a decent w-l record, it may be possible...
I like Jay but, as he was quoted recently, he is used to being a #4 outfielder and has been in a slump. And it remains to be seen if Souza earns being part of the OF rotation. That will really all depend on what Pollack does once he returns... I am not placing much faith in Souza. If AJ can return at the level he was at prior to the injury, I like our chances... given Goldy, Peralta and Jay remain at their present level of production as well!
The reality is that our offense is hanging on a thread and alone can tank this team. If Goldy slips back in the direction of where he was at in late April and all of May, and/or of Peralta and Jay drop back, I just don't see how this team maintains any positive momentum...
Would TL finally decide this three catcher crap isn't worth it?
Murphy is clearly our best choice for lead Catcher. Greinke wants Mathis as his personal Catcher. That leaves Avila (the lefty hitter -- I use that term loosely) as the odd man out, just as he is now while on the DL. But with Catchers, lefty/righty doesn't matter as much. When Pollock comes back, there will be:
Peralta, Pollock, Jay, Dyson and Owings.
Then throw Souza in the mix.

What is the best way financially to get rid of Avila?
