49er Reuben Foster arrested on Domestic Violence charges

Reuben Foster Arrested On Domestic Violence-Related Charges

Reuben Foster is currently being held in Santa Clara County Jail after being booked Sunday on charges relating to domestic violence, Sarah Ravani and Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle report.

The 23-year-old 49ers linebacker remains in jail, according to the Chronicle writers. Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News tweets Foster is being held on $75,000 bail. The 49ers are aware of the arrest and gathering information, per Branch (on Twitter).

In addition to the domestic violence allegation, Foster was also booked on suspicion for possessing an assault rifle, Robert Salonga of the Mercury News reports (via Twitter).

This is Foster’s second arrest within the last month, although this one appears far more serious.

Foster faced potential counts of domestic violence, making criminal threats, and possessing an assault weapon. Prosecutors must decide whether to charge Foster within 30 day. Each charge could be a misdemeanor or a felony.

Thats what will get him with the league. Fortunately there is no video like last time, lol... But the league screwed the pooch last time a player "dragged" his GF and got caught being lenient when a video surfaced... they wont take that risk again. The league is gonna stick it to him on this one....especially after the altercation at the combine last year.

A video exsists showing this woman fighting another woman, from which she sustained injuries she later accused Foster of inflicting.

If she lied the State's Attorney should file charges against her. It is clearly stated on any restraining order, domestic violence order, that if you swear before a judge and lie you can be prosecuted. Idiots like this lady take up court time, prosecutors time, investigators time and give people reason to cast doubt the real victims of domestic violence.

Yes there are other charges pending against Foster such as the marijuana possession and firearms. But if you didn't do the crime you shouldn't do the time if that is the case with the DV.
