Mayhew said he should have drafted two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald when he had the opportunity. Mayhew: I wish I'd drafted Donald Mayhew was the general manager in Detroit from 2008 to 2015, when he was fired from his first executive position. They had a losing record in the time span, though they made the playoffs twice and bounced back from going 0-16 in 2008.
