5 interesting players that should be available at the end of round 1.

Kenny Clark - DL - UCLA (6'2 310)
-Smart, disciplined, and athletic, Clark provides versatility up front, and has the power to push the pocket vs the run and pass.

Noah Spence - OLB - Eastern Kentucky (6'3 261)
-Another big and fast athlete, this one off the edge. Rare athlete on the edge who is only available due to huge off field issues similar to Mathieu's.

Jayron Kearse - S - Clemson (6'4 220)
-Athlete whose game hasn't quite caught up with his ability. Would give the Cards much needed size in the secondary, and would make a versatile interior group of Bucannon, Kearse, and Mathieu.

Desmond King - CB - Iowa (5'11 200)
-A physical corner with good ball skills who plays a technical game which fits Arizona. I'm not sure where his speed is, but his game looks good on TV and would be a nice young player to bring into the CB position.

Shilique Calhoun - OLB - Michigan St. (6'5 252)
-Some shine has come off Calhoun as he has been described as soft with average speed off the edge. His game has looked a bit more physical this year which means he could be another edge option for the Cards.

This is a conservative list and there are a ton of CBs, LBs, and Dl that may be available. These are just some guys who I found interesting5 names to

We are needing a pass rusher so bad. Hopefully this kind of player is available to us. Even with his off field issues the players on this team can set the right example for him.

Steve Longa LB(6'1 220lbs) just a flat out tackling machine.

Leonard Floyd LB( 6'4 230lbs) this years Bud Dupree

I'm still in favor of moving up in this draft we need linebackers bad.

Kenny Clark was a beast for UCLA. He fought through double and triple teams all year. I would love to have him on our team. Reminds me of A bigger Aaron Donald.

only one linebacker that I would move up for is Jaylon Smith LB out of Notre Dame. and he would need to fall out of the top 10.

That's how you answer back at their pathetic attempt at relevance. Stomp their neck flat.

Some people are going to complain about the timing of this...but I like the draft. I follow draft prospects year round. If you don't like it, stay out of the thread.

Of course, that's what ppl do ;)

Seriously though any of those players you listed would fit nicely.

Agreed, I always look forward to your posts on the draft no matter when you post them.

I'm bummed out that you don't have more LBers listed but it's early in the process.

Totally agree, so do I especially with all the college bowl games coming up. Want to see the top guys coming out who might be there when the Cards draft. Nothing wrong with that if you are a football fan.

I consider myself a draftnik, this makes us true fans, analyzing needs / players that will make us better.

I am really hoping for Spence, saw a mock that had us taking him in Round 1. I say why not, 1st or 2nd round makes no difference as long as we get him. I would rather take a take him at #32 than risk him not being there at #64. My first 3 picks:

1 - OLB Noah Spence
2 - CB Cameron Sutton
3 - ILB Cassanova McKinzy

I would love Eric Striker from Oklahoma in round 3 he's undersized to be a linebacker but he's bigger than Bucannon is now.

Is it too late to tank the season to get a better pick? It's just no fun picking outside of the top 10 every year.
