This seems like a rarity but this year it will happen 3 times..

The Packers play the Cardinals again next week
The Eagles play the Cowboys again next week
The Jets will play the Bengals again next week

the only difference in these games is that the venue is different for the Jets/Bengals game.. But this seems odd.. I cant remember this happening too much if at all that teams will play each other two weekends in a row going into the playoffs, much less three times in one season.. Or am I forgeting some games where this has happened?

Three of four wild-card games feature rematches from Week 17, including the Packers and Cardinals.

That has not happened previously.

The 1993 and 2001 playoffs each featured two immediate rematches.

The Packers beat the Lions in the 1993 playoffs to avenge a defeat one week earlier. Also that year, the Raiders beat the Broncos to close the regular season before beating them again in the wild-card round.

In 2001, the Eagles beat the Bucs two weeks in a row. The Raiders beat the Jets one week after losing to them.

Overall, teams that lost the first meeting won the next week eight times in 13 chances since 1943, according to ESPN Stats & Analysis.
