8/17 D-Backs and Giants - A Contrasting View

Here's the first (of hopefully many) dejected sports writers in SF. Compare that with the press the D-Backs are getting today.

The Giants have reached the stage of legitimate crisis. Their injuries are mounting, the standings speak of despair, and in the wake of Tuesday night's 2-1 loss in Atlanta, there's a sense that perhaps it just won't be their year.

We don't get to complain about injuries. That's for sure. The Giants are at the point of decimation.

I have been up here in the bay area for a month and I can attest that the local writers are brutal on the Giants. I should copy and paste some of their comments.
