If you haven’t heard the Niners are serious about pursuing Watson. The Seahawks appear serious about moving Wilson, so it would make sense for them to try to realign contracts to pursue Watson as well.

if the criteria is:

1. Top QB play makes them a contender
2. Lots of cap space

then:

Colts
maybeee WFT and Broncos

I think Colts with Russ vie for AFC Champ

WFT and Broncos become playoff teams

the problem for SEA is that they can get two #1s and more for Russ, but they dont have their own #1 --- so it becomes harder to get the ammo for Watson

I don't see the Seahawks moving Wilson. His 2021 base salary became full guaranteed today.

If they traded him tomorrow he would have a $39m dead cap hit this year, $26m next year and $13m the year after. And they only have $3m cap space as it is.

McNair publicly came out today and said that Watson is their quarterback and basically stated there will be no trade. Should be interesting....

What else is he supposed to say the day JJ Watt is released?

Bosa + 1st and 2nd rounder enough? Bosa could be JJ's replacement.

I’m assuming you were thrown Garoppolo to right?

Exactly. Jimmy G would need to be involved, and I'm still not sure it would be enough.

Bosa, Deebo Samuel, and 1st in 2021 and a 3rd in 2022. And it would be worth every penny.

Based on what you need they would want Aiyuk not Deebo. People that follow that team closely say the 49ers think Aiyuk is going to be a star. And Deebo they have real concerns with his first 2 years because he seems to have constant issues with his legs, they're afraid he's just too big. Great player when healthy but he's had trouble staying healthy

IF SF gets Watson that's scary, Shanahan is that good. I've said all along Denver was a very logical place, they have everything in place on offense but QB. They have Lock and a draft pick. If it were me I'd pick Shanahan over Pat Shurmur.

SF would have to draft help and it depends what Houston would want back, if it's picks and Aiyuk then SF has the QB, the coach, the run game, and not that much to throw to beyond Kittle and Deebo.

personally if they trade him I hope it's Denver

Living in Seahawk country, I can tell you that Russell Wilson is not going anyway! They'll fire Petey and everyone else before they trade Russell away! He is also one of the biggest investors in bring MLB to PDX and is in the Pacific NW until he retires. It's all noise to get him some OL help.
