I met a very nice gentleman (and his wife) today at Fan-Fest. He told me I should post on this message board. I've never posted anything on boards before, never belonged to any on-line community and, after discovering the search button, I remember why.
These boards are really kind of cool, actually. Type a word or name in the search-box and bada-bing...every critique, opinion and bag-over-the-head slam a guy could ever want is instantly at his disposal! It makes me remember what I hated about sports-talk radio and, at the same time, makes me feel like I'm on the field again, climbing the wall at Busch Stadium, hoping to get my hands on the bum in section 103.
Cool...
Anything that brings back those kinds of warm and fuzzy moments can't be all bad. And, in all honesty, some of the things a few of you write is highly entertaining. By the way, Hoffa is buried in the grassy-knoll but don't say anything.
But conviction is good...much better than the amazing, incredible Jell-O man, capable of conforming to any peer group in a single bound (mold). If you believe it, say it; if you don't, pretend like you do.
Play hard, get dirty and never make eye-contact with the man you're going to blind-side.
