I don't know if they have this out or not.

Make a sensor that is in a doorway or cubicle entrance that turns your computer on. The possibilities are endless. Of course a person could enable/disable it. Also, you could make your seat have the same sensor.

That thing is pretty cool, but I don't know if that does what he's talking about.

His idea would turn the computer on when you walked in the room, that one is used more to just lock the PC when you step away. I think he's talking about a device that would turn the PC on from an off state, like a 'Wake On LAN' feature only triggered by a remote sensor. It's a cool idea, just not sure how practical it would be. It might be cool for an office or something. For people like me though that put their PC in the master bedroom, it would kinda suck. Every time I get up at night and go grab a snack or something my PC turns on and off cause I'm too dumb to remember to turn off the sensor. :p

Couldn't you just use motion sensors similar to office buildings and their indoor lights? I know my office has them throughout every office and room. When you walk in the lights come on. Why couldn't something similar be wired into a pc?

That's my idea of thinking, also you could have it hooked to your seat cushion.
