Condemned to six years in prison, Malik El Djebena cannot read not write.
Neither can the author of this summary!

Allow me to BIM out for a moment.

There are a few things the author could have been trying to do with this sentence:

  • Condemned to six years in prison, Malik El Djebena cannot read nor write.
  • Condemned to six years in prison, Malik El Djebena cannot read and cannot write.
  • Condemned to six years in prison, Malik El Djebena cannot read, cannot write.

The last one is still technically not correct, but it at least makes more sense.

Yea, Grammar Popo!:iwin:
