If being down 11 pts with 5 minutes left to go doesn't call for a hurry -up offense, what does?
You do realize that even 3 incomplete passes would have used up only 15 seconds, right?
Did you ever think of going to 2 tight end max protection at ANY TIME DURING THE GAME?
Do you realize we wore the clock down in the 4th quarter better than the Seahawks did?
Do you, at any point in a game, think to yourself, "Hey , what we are doing isn't working. Lets change things up?"
Did you ever consider taking over the play calling, even for a series or two?

I don't think the players ever gave up, but if I were a player , it would be in the back of my mind that the coaching staff sure did.

We are very lucky that this game wasn't 45 -10. This was a game that most of us wouldn't expect a win. I just didn't picture us losing like this.

We were asking these same questions last year Al.

That's what is really troubling.

Exactly. Put blame on Kurt Warner too. He should know better than to huddle everyone up down two scores and under 5:00...just as he should have known better to spike the ball at the end of the first half...although the way the FG unit was being rushed on, it appears the call came from the bench.

Kurt Warner was a real problem in this game...he was clearly intimidated and looked beaten early on and stayed that way.

There is an aspect to Warner I can't stand, sure he drew a bumb card this game the line was awful.

Two ways to deal with that.

A. Scream at your Oline, ecourage them when they do something right and basically call them everything but a complete man in the huddle.

B. Whine and sulk and just put your thumb up your butt in a pouty I'm not dying for anyone act.

What kind of message is Denny trying to send anyway .. ?? do what I say not what I do .. ??? How many games are we going to go into unprepared and have the team fight to right the ship only to see the coaching staff take away any hope with total mismanagement ... ???

I would be willing to bet that the coaching issues arent being lost by Micheal B. He's pretty astute, and certainly wont put up with being embarrased like this again. He's got a lot riding on this season and I wouldnt be suprised to see Pendergast as interm coach if we continue to stumble.
Green needs to belly up,accept responsibilty and and repair the damage quickly or the player bickering that we saw glimpses of today will consume this group( I am reticent to use the term team) before Halloween.

I agree with your other points, but have you seen our TEs block recently?

Green's judgement just went down a notch in Cardinal land. Just ask some Vikings fans about Greens field and clock judgement. When playing the Falcolns in the NFC championship game the Viks got the ball with a minute left and up by 6 pts. w/ 2 time out left. Green just had them eat the football.

Atlanta then procedes to start the second half w/ a TD march and never looks back. His field decisions and judgement were lacking then too.

It really bugs me the way Warner walks around with that frown and slumped shoulders when things are going bad. I wish he would show some emotion and energy and hustle BEFORE he goes to the sideline. For God's sake, hold your head up and lead!!

I'm sure if Culpepper throws an INT then you are complaining why didn't they run out the clock. If you're up 6 at home, you don't give the other team aturnover to get momentum going into the 2nd half.
