I've been on every site and every generator and there is no changing it.

links? por favor

If this is the case it needs to be known by the general public - or more importantly the cards fans (and players) in the building next Sunday night....

I just spent a good 30 mins messing with it and couldnt come up w/ a scenario that has us beating Sea and not getting the #1 seed

Correct. Which is why I suggested "for all the marbles" on madjacks banner after Thursday night

I played with this for a while tonight... almost certainly the Cards are the #1 seed or the #5 seed. If the Cards lose to the Seahawks there are a LOT of different #1/#2 scenerios. Most likely, the Eagles or Cowboys are the #7 team.. but a couple ways the Packers are out if they lose to the Lions in week #17.

It's a fun tool. More fun if we win Sunday. Way more fun.

it will be tough. seattle's defense looks like they are in playoff form again. but with the cardinals D you have every shot to win this game.

I don't trust the playoff scenario generators. They have lots of glitches. . .

BUT, having done the scenarios myself, I agree that a win over Seattle does indeed clinch the 1-seed. In the 12-4 tie (if we beat only SEA) Green Bay would have a guaranteed 61.5 points (plus 9 more possible) on the strength-of-victory tie-breaker, we would have 71 guaranteed (plus 8 more possible). Even if GB gets all nine of their points and we get none, we still win 71 vs 70.5.

Had PHI won over DAL, and CHI over NO on Monday night, our scenario would have looked like this for week 16, to clinch the 1-seed: ARI win + GB loss OR MIN loss OR CHI loss OR CRL loss OR ATL loss OR PHI loss OR PIT loss OR NYG loss OR BUF loss OR IND loss! But with the DAL win instead of PHI, it is simply: ARI win.

The link below is the one I would look at for confirmation of the scenarios. . . at least under the discussions section. The text at the top is for Week 15. I believe one of those guys does the official work for the NFL and their discussions show the extent of detail they go through. One of them did post a question about a Cards' win against Seattle clinching it all, and I await their response for confirmation.

They also complain about the accuracy of the ESPN playoff machine, as they have found some errors.

The machine also shows if we lose to Seattle, but beat SF and Seattle loses to the rams in week 17, we still clinch #1 seed. I'd rather clinch it against Seattle. ;)

ESPN last night, along with Jurecki this morning confirmed that we get the #1 seed with a win against the Hags Sunday night. Can't Wait!!

Division title,....#1 seed,....bragging rights,.....and maybe a little respect.......it is all on the line next week against the hags...

clinching the following week with a lambs win over seattle would be fine too.....but after BA talked smack on them after the game this week...they might just mail it in to stick it to us,lol...... best bet is to find a way for Lindley to help us win next Sunday. We are going to need to keep Wilson off the field.

It would seem to really be helpful that the team gets a 10 day break to prepare and rest up a little.

Maybe we caught a real break in that regard.

In this scenario, if Green Bay wins out, they would be the #1 seed due to a better record against common opponents. We would be #2

Obviously would love the #1 seed, but #2 would be perfect too. That 1st week bye is a huge with getting Stanton back and whomever we have banged up

This is it. Our best chance at a Super Bowl is by having home field. Time to pull out ALL the stops. Every trick. Every gadget. Empty the clip.

Honestly, the keys to the game is keeping Wilson from extending plays, limiting turnovers on offense, and being able to flip field position.

That is it. We beat the crap out of Wilson last game, he got beaten up vs San Fran this week, and now we need to sweep the leg on Sunday night. I think Lindley is hot garbage so I hope our stable of RBs is ready. We are going to have to win a 9-3 ballgame IMO.

That is a clever suggestion, Buckybird, however the true litmus test for the optimum banner suggestion is imagining the fan reaction should it be flashed on the Jumbotron.

I think we agree that "EVERY MAN UP!" would be more inspirational than "FOR ALL THE MARBLES." Hopefully, it will get some air time - even on TV.

Thanks,
MadJack.

Sweet that absolutely nobody gives 'us' a chance against the Seahawks. They are reading off the same teleprompter, "Bruce Arians has done an incredible job and is the undisputed Coach of the Year, but Arizona lost their backup quarterback and Seattle is back to playing at a Super Bowl level. Cardinals have no chance."

It will take an incredible effort, but this game IS winnable. B.A. has had 3 previous games and almost two years to evaluate Seattle. Couple that with an extra couple days to develop a game-plan, and there is a chance. After all, the Niners were hanging with the 'Great Satan' until they lost both running backs and Borland.

Keep the faith!

I can't argue the fact cheese's suggestion is the true meaning of what this Cards team is from top to bottom. Damn good selection & let's hope it inspires this team to do what nobody outside of our players, coaches & some fans think they can pull off.
