TORONTO — Brett Gardner has made it to only one All-Star Game in his major league life, back in 2015, but in so many ways he is an invaluable All-Star every day for the Yankees. This weekend series against the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre showed it once again. Gardner led off Saturday’s 8-5 win with a home run, setting the tone, and later in the game drilled a key triple. On Sunday, Gardner got the game-winning hit, a one-out single to left, going the other way with the pitch, to score pinch-runner Tyler Wade from second base in the 10th inning and lift the Yankees to a 2-1 win over the Blue Jays and yet another series victory.
