Maybe the trade of was, "if you let us beat you, we'll give you Curry for a 4th rd pick and Joey Porter."

Eagles will get him, no question. They're desperate for a LB.

I would be happy with more than a coupon for a car wash...we need some more athletes on defense

I don't see where he would fit in our defense. He's not a 3-4 OLB which is what we desperately need and we already gave Bradley a healthy sized contract to be someone who can pair up with Washington. And speaking of healthy sized contracts, Curry's contract is a 6yr/$60mil one which is way too much to carry for a guy that was supplanted by a 4th round rookie.

Eagles will also get him because I just don't see the Hawks letting him go to a division rival

I think us being a division rival helps our chances because him being on the field makes a defense worse, and they know that.

Just another in a long line of Cardinal traditions. Last Cardinal LB to make the pro bowl was Seth Joyner in 1994. Last Cardinal drafted LB was E.J.Junior in 1985.

The question is not if Curry is good, but is he better than some of the current LBs we have now....um, maybe Porter on passing downs?

It's hard to believe that he wouldn't be better than Joey but I think this would be a bad decision. A marginal improvement at the LB spot isn't going to change our immediate future and this is a guy that will likely be on the chopping block if we don't rush in to overspend on him.

He's struggled rushing the passer in college & in Seattle. I find it hard to believe his lightbuld suddenly goes on. Pass rushing hasn't ever really been his forte.

If Seattle would actually trade him within their own division, he's probably not someone we would want at this point.

He's and ILB with good size and speed. Even if he never lives up to the expectations everyone had of him coming out of college if he can fill the downhill thumper spot that Hayes played then we're good. Paris Lenon is a LB who was never that athletic to begin with and is currently 33. Bringing in someone who could potentially give even a little bit more playmaking ability would be a plus.

6'2", 255 and only 25 years old, he is worth a flier. SILB with athleticism is a need on this team. Toss a late round pick and see what he can do. I like Washington, Curry, Bradley and Lenon as a middle LB corp.

I've got a better idea, lets play the guy we invested $30 mil to play that position & let him learn instead of taking someone elses castoff thats gonna cost us a draft pick ;)

Would rather draft Burfict or Hightower, both would be much cheaper...

Do not believe anything on that All Sports Intel feed! He's the guy who made up the Patrick Willis for Asante Samuel rumor that turned out to be completely untrue. He's made up a bunch of rumors since, and none of them have been legit. Bleacher Report is more reliable.

I've actually been weirdly obsessed with that guy's twitter since the Willis rumor. From what I can tell, he reports what he feels are good ideas as news. He also follows nearly every sports writer on Twitter and posts their stuff as his own. I've never seen anyone get so many predictions wrong. It's fascinating. The truly odd part is that it's working for him. He's developed a rapidly growing group of followers who believe he has real sources, even though he's yet to break any Eagles news from his supposed legion of Eagles insiders. The guy must be doing something right, but he doesn't have any behind the scenes access.

As for Curry, I'd take him for cheap as a SILB, but I doubt it will happen.

Wouldn't he have to be cut for us to take him for cheap? He definitely wasn't under the new rookie wage scale, but no idea how his salary cap number/contract situation looks at this point.

I meant cheap in terms of compensation, but Curry restructured his deal before this season. He cut the last two years off his contract (making him a free agent in 2013) and gave up his remaining $5 million in guarantees. I don't know what his salary is for next year, but we could release him for nothing if he didn't pan out. I'm sure restructuring again would also be an option on the off chance he ended up here.

with our LB corp, why would anyone not want to take a look at about LB available? I doubt Paris Lenon or Bust Bradley would start for another NFL team. It still amazes me that the Cards gave an injured 4-3 MLB 25+ million dollars, yet the year before couldn't come to an agreement with their best defensive player and the team leader we all say is missing from the defense in Dansby. KD got a 16 mill signing bonus and , almost inexplicably, the Cards handed out a $10 mill signing bonus(the same as Kolb) to Bradley :bang:. That Rod Graves is one savvy GM.

Speaking of Dansby, how do you think he likes leading his bunch of winners this year? :sarcasm:
