For once, a change-of-scenery trade worked in our favor, instead of against us. Usually, guys leaving the D-Backs get a second life, not the other way around.

I felt good about that trade from the moment they did it. Understandably there was a chance that it wasn't going to work out, but I just had a good feeling about it.

Seems like we're paying a lot of money for IFs that are over 30.
They are also both coming off one of the best seasons of their careers and most position players can be good into their late 30s.

Also who is that in your avatar? Looks like Olivia Wilde.

Most IFs lose production starting in their 30's. If we are paying them for their best seasons expecting that to continue throughout the contract then we are overpaying.
