To be honest, I like Pollock, Parra, and Cody Ross in the OF. If Eaton comes back I would like to see him, Parra & Pollock as the starting OF but Kubel brings the bat on occasion and Ross needs AB's to be effective. I really wonder if Towers is planning a move to solve the log jam when Eaton is ready but he may be out a while. Would an OF of Eaton, Pollock & Parra be productive enough for ARZ despite not having 20 HR power? I guess if they get on base enough that would be just as good.

Strong teams have four good outfielders. There's no reason to trade there until the season is over.

ARZ would be looking at 5 OF's if Eaton came back after AS break. Not enough AB's for 5 guys. Unless they just keep Eaton out all year.

I don't see a need for both Kubel and Ross, especially considering their salaries. I'd like to see a trade to move one if not both of them.

I expect that Pollock will be a backup outfielder. At best, a CF platoon vs. lefty starters and a way to rest Eaton. And that Ross will split time with Kubel in LF and spell Parra in RF vs. lefties, but not as a strict platoon.

When they are all healthy, one of the five should go and I am thinking it would be Kubel because of his health and that he can play only one position. He is not 100%. Which is disappointing because, when he is at-bat, he is a bigger threat to drive the ball than any of the other four outfielders. And I mean line drives long distance, not outfield popups.

Any news on this front? Can we expect to see him back after the all star break?

He tweeted he was starting the rehab games this weekend. I would suspect he would need at least 7-10 days of game action since he has not played since early Spring Training.

So if all goes well it sounds like we could see him later this month?

FYI, here is the tweet from last night.

Adam Eaton ‏@AdamSpankyEaton 6 Jul
Excited to play in the field again tonight. Starting to feel like a ball player again! #happytweet

• Rehabbing from an elbow injury incurred during Spring Training, Adam Eaton will move his assignment to Triple-A Reno after eight games (batting .385, 10-for-26) with Class A Advanced Visalia. He will still serve as the designated hitter some while also playing the outfield.

Looks like that tweet meant that he had not played in the field yet and that is what he did last night for the first time.
