Adreian Payne, a 6-foot-10 senior basketball center from Jefferson High in Dayton, Ohio, has narrowed his list of colleges to five.

Payne, Rivals.com’s No. 20-rated player told the Dayton Daily News he will choose either Kansas University, Kentucky, Arizona, Michigan State or West Virginia.

KU is a hanger on for Fab Melo, and I'm not holding my breath for Josh Smith anytime soon. Payne might be the big we can grab out of this class.

Have to admit the longer Josh Smith takes to commit the more concerned I get he may not pick UCLA.

Don't know much about Payne beyond that Evan Daniels really likes him and he's usually pretty dialed in on prospects.

Well, not too many big men out there. I wonder if there are any JC players or European players Miller will look at?

Im not worried about a big man yet. The biggest loss is if McCallum picks UCLA.

We need a PG in the worst way. With Miller's system a traditional center is not needed, but im sure we will find another big guy although it will have to wait till the spring as the early signing day is approaching.
