“@RapSheet: Former #Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson is set to visit with the Patriots, according to a source. Interesting...”

Ill root for Adrian Wilson this year so go Pats if this happens (unless their playing us). Go get that ring ADub!

Adub has an excellent chance with NE. Would love to see him go out in style.

They would easily become my second favorite team and give me a rooting interest in the game once we've been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs in week 7

Adrian Wilson to visit the Patriots

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2074/adrian-wilson

Free agent SS Adrian Wilson will visit the Patriots.
It's Wilson's first known visit since being released by the Cardinals six days ago, and the 30-plus-year-old free agent safeties aren't getting much play, yet. 33-year-old Wilson's play fell off last season as he was demoted out of the nickel defense, but he can still be a solid presence as an in-the-box safety.

Don't need to play them the next three years (since we played them last year). Unless of course we met in the Super Bowl rofl.

I rooted for the Rams in the Super Bowl (go on and hate) against the Pats solely because of Aeneas Williams. Wherever Adub goes you better believe that I will root for that team to win it all. Landing in New England will give him a good chance.

Just as long as he doesn't go to SF or Seattle. I don't know if I could take playing against both A-Dub and Boldin in our conference.

Yes. That should have been a qualifiying statement. I might get on board with Seattle if Pete Carroll got fired, but no way I could get on board with SF, especially with Harbaugh (who I used to find hot as a QB though I now want to commit acts of violence when I see his face).

I would be thrilled if Adub signed in NE and won a ring there.

I cant understand why people hate Tom Brady. Hes a good dude all around. I hope he and Adub win one more because they go out.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in our divison and Housler running by him and being open by 5-7 yards. The problem is, would our QB be able to hit him?

AW is a role player and, except for a resurrection in 2011, has been pretty bad in coverage for years. I like Wilson, but these days, he's very limited in coverage ability, which was never his strong suit in the first place. He's good rushing the passer and on plays that are in front of him and near the LOS.

I think NE is a good fit for him and hope he does well there.

Cheese, don't you think you are stretching it just a bit here? Week 7 mathematically? Have a little more faith than that. This isn't the :titanic:

He's a good fit if they're looking for a "box" safety, but that role and the traditional "strong" and "free" safety is going the way of the Dodo bird in the new pass first NFL. (IMO)

Hope AW ends up being with the Pats. It would be fitting for him. A very first class person.
