MTV Films is in talks to buy new writer Andrew Cochran's comedy spec script Adult World, which revolves around a Stanford coed who feels she's destined to be a poet and winds up working as a clerk in a mom-and-pop adult bookstore.
Cochran, 23, tells Variety that the idea for Adult World grew out of the difficulties faced by collegians in dealing with the real world.
The film will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.
