Don't like the sound of this:

"It didn’t help that Early Doucet is hurt again, straining a groin and forcing two rookies – Stephen Williams and Max Komar – into significant playing time. Whisenhunt also said Fitz’s injured knee starting bothering him late in the game too."

Like I said before can we just cut Doucet and bring back Onrea Jones already?

How long is Roberts out? Doucet is too talented to cut but he better learn how to stay on the field. I don't know if there's too much he can do about pulls and strains. That's what always seems to get him. I'm sure he's on a stretching regimen but obviously it's not working.

Fitz is screwed. If his knee is still bothering him, I don't think he makes it past week 6 without being on the IR and getting surgery.

Also, I like to read Andersons comments on his own game.

He missed Larry Fitzgerald on 12 of the 15 passes he threw No. 11’s way, including a seam route that Fitz was behind everyone. “I want that, I have to hit that,” Anderson said. “I will watch it tomorrow and probably be sick.”

At least he is suffering with us. LOL.

Fitz will be fine but it will take some time to get back to 100%.

Interesting on Fitz...if you take away the 15 attempts to him (they were clearly not on the same page), then DA was 19/26 (73%) to everyone else.

They don't need to cut Doucet and bring Jones back, they need to cut Komar TODAY and bring Jones back.

Komar stinks as a return man and receiver. He is too slow to play either position.

The problem was that he would lock onto Fitz and either miss him or force the pass.

If Doucet is going to always be hurt, we need a real slot receiver to get the spot. Komar is not another "Wes Welker." Onrea might be the best option. I wonder how Steven B would do in the slot with Stephen W moving into the wideout spot.

Hoping Stephen Williams starts to catch and "FLASH" like he did in pre-season and he got 1 throw I think.I'm old.We need more Than Breaston who has made me so proud for an OHIO STATE guy to say that about a michigan dude.Really proud and GAMEBALL winner for week one.

No doubt we truly have a #2 reciever to pick up quans slack.

I think we threw to Williams twive, maybe three times. Twice it was catchable and he dropped or missed them all. But the routes looked awful if DA was throwing in the right spot.

One was in the endzone. Williams didnt recognize the hot route because the blitz was coming. He would have had an easy TD had he looked at the QB.

That last one was the only one I put on Williams. The ball actually hit him.

Another EZ target was short. Another long pass was way off target.

He was targeted 4 total times, and he blew the hot route play.

The fact that the two of them could not connect was equally frustrating to Fitz, Anderson, and Whiz. (That is why Whiz called for 15 attempts to hit with this connection). The real shame is that 14 of the 15 attempts were on timing patterns, (which is a no win situation). If Anderson throws the ball on time, to the spot where he should throw it, Fitz CANT GET THERE. The real telling factor in all this, is that the ONLY good looking completion from Anderson to Fitz, was the TD pass to the corner of the end zone-----and that play happened because the timing was already destroyed, and Anderson was forced to scramble, whereupon he found Fitz alone in the corner of the end zone. He did hit his target beautifully on that attempt.

I don't think we should play Fitz until he is 100%. Running him out there at 75% is going to get him seriously injured.

Then you have to run with Breaston, Williams, and Komar. Not exciting at all. Maybe we can resign Onrea Jones, he has some practice in the offense and could probably step in and play. I guess we'll have to see what Whiz can do. Remember Stephen Williams was an impact player in the preseason and if he gains some confidence I think he can contribute this year.

Don't be so fast to judge. The kid has got smarts and is tough. Some qualities another good reciever we used to have, who wasn't anywhere close to a burner either. Give it some time. Whiz knows something here.

He also could be a younger version of the former Steeler WR whose name just escapes me right now. I think that's what Whiz see's in him.

Onrea always impressed me. I have no idea what the team sees in Komar. I can't see that guy doing anything as a WR or punt returner. Whiz will stick with him, unfortunately. Also, and I know this comment won't be popular, but I'm not all that impressed with Stephen Williams. Breaston, on the other hand, has been a stud since he came into the league. I think he's one of the most underrated WRs in the game. We need to sign that guy long term. I'll be sick if we let him go.

I find it interesting that people keep assuming that Whiz is calling these passes to Fitz. That isn't the case. Our passing offense does go through Fitz, similar to the Texans passing offense going through Andre Johnson. Fitz will, more often than not, be the primary target in any given pass play. He should be, he is our best player. The problem in the game was that the Rams were playing man coverage on Fitz which Derek Anderson was trying to exploit. Unfortunately, due to a lack of cohesiveness, they couldn't get this connection going. I have a hard time blaming a guy for feeding the rock to our best player when he is singled up, but it almost killed us.

Point being the 15 targets to Fitz were Derek Anderson trying to exploit man coverage on Fitz, not Coach Whiz calling "Fitz plays."

Talking about Doucet, Whisenhunt says as much here:
