Agent: Chiefs will release RB Johnson (AP)

The Kansas City Chiefs have told the agent for Larry Johnson that they are releasing the troubled running back. Peter Schaffer told The Associated Press on Monday that he had just received a call from the Chiefs informing him of their decision. Johnson was due to come off a two-week suspension Monday.
