Agent says FB Fui Vakapuna was signed to cardinals practice squad

FB Fui Vakapuna has been signed to Arizona’s practice squad. The Cardinals have not announced their squad yet but his agent Andy Simms made the announcement last night on his Twitter account.

Have seen no confirmation from the cardinals.

He did, but the reason they cut him was because they felt he was holding back and needed to attack the position and be more aggressive.

Overall he was a better athlete than other FB-I think his name was Perry--but he just lacked that killer instinct....

Fui was originally expected to be the primary ball carrier for BYU before he had some injury set backs and freshman (at the time) Harvey Unga emerged as the go to guy. As opposed to trimming down and staying quicker as he was trying to do to play HB/TB, he had to switch mindsets and bulk up to play FB. That said, hopefully he can become a more effective and physical blocker, because for a man his size he is very athletic and could bring more versatility than your average full back.

I think that's Chris Pressley. He made the Bengals practice squad.

Fui will be good one day if he can learn to play hard every down. The Cincy coaches think that will happen at some point. I hope so.

Just watched the Season Finale of Hard Knocks, and gotta say I am happy to have Fui on OUR team, I think the Bengals will be sorry they let this young man go... (atleast I hope so)
