Apparently Bruin Report Online is reporting Jordan Farmar's injured ankle is now a broken foot. I say reportedly because it's a "premium" story and since I refuse to pay for that stuff I can't read the story. Someone on another Bruin board asked if his foot being broken is going to have a huge impact on UCLA since he's out a month.

NO idea if it's true, my response to the initial post was to make fun of it but I now know where the guy apparently got his information so I had to apologize for my joke to him.

If true UCLA is in trouble, Collison is not ready to start at the PG and if they move Ced Bozeman there, they have nobody but freshman Mike Roll to start at SF and he's not ready either.

Latest is stress fracture in foot, out minimum 4 weeks, foot currently in a walking boot.

:(

Man this year sucks, 2 knee surgeries for Aboya, hip surgery for shipp and now Farmar's ankle injury turns out to be a stress fracture.

On the broight side at least the rest of the Bruins' OOC schedule is tolerable. However, if this thing turn out to be more than four weeks then they're in trouble because you guys open up with Stanford, Cal, and at McKale in conference play.

It's still not fully official but at least one regular poster on BRO said he saw Farmar on campus today with the boot on.

Yeah I guess Howland's weak OOC schedule looks better now with JF possibly out a month or more. Stress fractures are terrible they're so hard to deal with it's so common to rush the guy back and he gets hurt again. This is the same foot as the ankle injury and nobody seems to know if this is new or if they just did further tests and found it.

he played hurt against Memphis, against Drexel they had to keep taking him out because the ankle hurt, he played horrible, even airballed a FT. So the assumption is he might have had the stress fracture all along.

I'm still hoping it's untrue but it's looking more and more like he's out for a bit.

They better get Farmar back in a hurry. Being down in the 2nd half to the Albany Great Danes isn't a good sign of things to come. And yes, Great Danes is that university's actual mascot.

Well the good news is the BRO report is wrong. Good thing I don't pay for that nonsense. Farmar does not have a stress fracture just the same sprain, Howland says he'll resume practice next Tuesday.

And the great news is Aboya has been cleared to practice and should play briefly Sunday against Coppin State. So while both will likely be limited, by the end of next week we should have all but one starters back.

Ugly win last night, didn't see it but UCLA blew a 19 point lead and won by 8 over Albany. But when you play without 3 starters, anything can happen I guess.

Yep, Albany lost by 27 to San Diego a few days ago so an 8 point win is not something to be proud of, even with 3 starters out.
