Everyday I wake up and think the Airizona Cardinals are in the SUPERBOWL! I still cannot get over this. The words Cardinals and Superbowl do not seem to even go toghether. Every day I see talk on the sports shows and articles in the papers about the Cardinals. It all seems like a dream. In my heart of hearts I never thought it would happen in my lifetime or certainly not in the lifetime of Mr. Bidwill.

The only way to top this is to win the superbowl. Even if we do not this has been the best year in my lifetime to be a football Cardinal fan and that covers a lot of years. Who ever thought at the start of this year or when we were 8-7 that we would end up in the superbowl? You are lying if you say you did. What were the Vegas odds at the start of the year or when we were 8-7. We were supposed to be the worst playoff team ever was and it was a disgrace that we were in the playoffs from a terrible NFL West Division. Where are all those prognosticators now? I hope they bet against the Cards in all three playoff games.

We are actually in the dam Superbowl.

Did you prepare the mayor's jersey? Airizona? You are right about how sudden all of this is. Just simply amazing and I am loving every minute of it.

Not lying at all. Maybe I tend to be delusional, but as the playoffs approached, I was telling anyone who would listen about how the Eagles would win through, we would win the warmer weather game in Charlotte, and the homefield advantage would catapult us to the Super Bowl.

What amazes me is something I mentioned to my dad as we left the pool hall (Bullshooters) on Thursday night. They had NFL Network showing on a few of their TVs in the bar, and they were plugging the marathon of clip shows of past Super Bowls. I said to Dad, "Do you realize that until the end of time, every time they do one of those marathons now, they'll show the Arizona Cardinals?"

I sure love football.

Portland Oregon these days.
It really hit me watching ESPN the other night.

As they were talking about the Cards in the Super Bowl, the draft order was rolling across the bottom of the screen: No. 4 Draft Pick: Seattle.

It was surreal.

Hey, Maybe John's onto something...

The Chargers had Air-Coryell. Do we have Air-it-out-zona. Ok! Maybe a bit of a reach but I've had my share of typo's, and grammar screw-ups on here, too. LOL I NEVER did figure out what a "dangling participle" was in English Lit. ;)

GO CARDS! SHOCK THE WORLD!! WE BELIEVE!!!:D

I don't think I've realized it yet. I'm innundated with stuff to read and watch..to the point I'm not reading or watching any of it.

I feel like i'm sitting down and all this information is just whizzing all around me and I'm the only thing sitting still.

Surreal.

It is awesome. What a great feeling.

One the best things about it, is that the Cardinals fans, players, coaches, and organization as a whole are able to enjoy it. Together as a tight knit fan base.

We all know how hard our team has worked to get here. That coming back against Philly and Carolina meant more, and that it was special cause it was the Cardinals doing it.

We the fans, and everyone in Cardinal land know how special this is. How much more it takes.

I say enjoy it everyone. This is what we all have been waiting for.

On a side note:

The media is better this week, but there are still a lot of people writing nasty, horrible things. There are NFL fans that just don't care and are upset with the match up.

PERFECT!!!!!

The media never has cared, and neither has the "NFL Fan". We the Cardinals fans have stopped listening to these, people, sources and media for YEARS! To think we would care what all these people think after years of abuse. It is fun to point and laugh at them. To write emails pointing out their lack of knowledge.

We have been tuning these morons out for all our lives, and now it is second nature.

I wouldn't know what the masses, or the media think about the Superbowl, cause I have stopped listening, stop caring about thier opinions after years of caring less and less about it.

To me and everyone here. This is the best Superbowl ever!

Hey, Rugby...

Dd ya' catch the clip the other day?? I think it was A-dub. Said something like, "We know alot of people aren't happy we're here, but hey, you don't have to watch the Super Bowl. There's other channels. Watch something else."

LUV' It, man. You can tell that they're taking a no-nonsense approach to this and they're HERE TO WIN!!

...And on NFL Network, Coach Whiz' & A-dub, crossed swords with Rich Eisen about the "cheap-shots" from the media. Basically, called him out. Eisen tried to defend himself. (ie; Go to the tape/wasn't me) I honestly didn't think his view was all that slanted. Deion? Well, that's a completely different story! (LOL) Anyways, luv'd at the end where Eisen is saying, "Are we good now, coach? Kinduv' like trying to make peace. I think the message got thru loud & clear.

THESE Cardinals are a tough bird and ready to fight!!

All the kids at the school I work at made "Go Cardinals" signs. They are hanging all over the school. It definitely rocks.

/agree

I couldn't care less what the media says about anything anymore. They're suppose to report the news, not "make it up". The folks who don't like the match up, should go back to watching the FOOD channel or wtf ever they were watching before the NFL changed all the rules to put an "entertainment product" on the field. IE. changing the rules to score more points, no chuck after 5 yards etc.

I would prefer to have less fans support the NFL overall, stop being so commercialized and get the REAL fan of the game back, maybe the fans could actually get some tickets then instead of the stubhubs, ripyouofftickets.com companies holding onto thousands of them and nobody sitting in them at game time.

It is what it is.

My wife, the complete and total non football fan said to me last night: "I can't wait for Sunday, I am so excited for you and Mason(my oldest son)".

That is what the Super Bowl does to people. This is awesome.

I took the family to Disneyland this weekend, and of course I was dressed in Cards gear. Quite a lot of people shouted "Go Cardinals!" as we walked around the park. I even got a high-five from a guy wearing a Seahawks shirt who said "Go get'em Cards!" That kinda stuff has never happened before. I used to get laughed at.

No more "Same Old Cards".

First, intentional or not, a great play on words with "Air"izona. You should patent that. And yeah, everyone still seems to be in shock, but it's definitely a GREAT shock!!!

And I think the preseason odds of the Cardinals winning the Super Bowl was 50/1. I recall someone on this board or the official Cards board saying they bet $30 on the Cards and they were hoping they'd win. So do I...so do I.
