Boston up on Tampa by one game, with three remaining.

Angels only hope is for Boston to lose out, Tampa to lose out, or at least lose two to get an end of season playoff.

I think the Yankees might regret letting Tampa in the playoffs. They are a dangerous team and the Red Sox weren't. Plus, the Yankees now get to face Verlander and the Tigers. They might not even make it out of the ALDS.

It would have been bad for baseball had the Bo Sox regained life and made the playoffs. The way they've been playing upon late, the Astros would have been more competitive.

Glad the choke job was completed tonight.

Congrats to the Rays. They showed tonight why they deserved the Wild Card

The events that led to this in the last three days almost defy belief...

first ever Orioles inside the park home run at Camden yards. Three runs no less.

A triple play by the Rays to quench a major threat last night.

The Sox great releiver blows a save by giving up two runs after no one on, two outs, and two strikes.

The Rays rally from 7-0 down in the 8th to tie. Of course, that isn't crazy enough, so it's a .108 hitter knocking out a two out, two strike HR to tie it. Then, the long time Rays hero hits a homer in the 12th, barely clearing the fence, to win it.

Hollywood wouldn't come up with something like that.
