I personally don't even comprehend why we're still talking about Alan Branch. May as well talk about Antonio Smith, who was much more productive. We talk so much about players gone--Boldin, Rolle, Dansby, Smith, Branch, Breaston, Hightower, etc--that we don't talk about the greatness of players we do have. And when they're gone and retired, like Fitz, we'll talk about them. It's total idiocy.

well

Well they were all starters the SB team, My problem with Branch and now Deuce is our coaches and staff evaluations? I mean what the hell ? Faneca? Reggie Wells gone? Mcfadden? Hood? Joey Porter for that price?
Of course DA was so much better than Matt Leinart and Kolb is so much better than ourr next QB- Ronald Mcdonald.

Look at the players you listed. Everyone of them has an NFC Championship Ring they won at our stadium. That makes them part of the only real success most on this board have ever seen from the Cardinals and so normal subjects of interest for Cardinal fans. Especially when you talk about a franchise that has had so few long term stars like Fitzgerald since moving to Arizona and so many that have gone on to finish their careers somewhere else.

There are a lot of people, myself included, who like to talk about what happened, why it happened, what might have happened, who was better etc. Then there are those who post on Mondays during the season "the games over let's move on". It's those type differences that make this board special.

I think you are right.

Adams played NT when they did play a 3-4 and Goose was a gigantic DE.

I don't think that Baltimore even ran that hybrid 3-4 stuff while Siragusa was with the team. They ran a fairly pure 4-3 through 2001, when Marvin Lewis left. In 2002 Mike Nolan came in and they converted straight to the 3-4 defense.

In 2002 Goose and Adams were off the roster altogether. Kelly Gregg was playing NT for him.

Kelly Gregg is 6'0", 310 lbs.
