The basketball world learned terrible news about Alijah Arenas, who was involved in a car crash and is now reportedly in a medically induced coma.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the 18-year-old basketball player was involved in a "serious car crash" on Thursday morning. Arenas, the son of three-time NBA All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas, was hospitalized and placed into a medically-induced coma following the accident per Charania.
Arenas recently played in the McDonald's All-American Game and played high school basketball at Chatsworth High School in Los Angeles. He is a five-star recruit committed to play at USC next season.
