The United Football League (UFL) began on Friday, March 28. The UFL is a spring football league that offers a shot for players to impress NFL teams or to simply continue their professional football careers.

Several Georgia Bulldogs like kicker Rodrigo Blankenship, cornerback Deandre Baker and linebacker Tae Crowder all had significant stints in the UFL. However, none of them found a long-term NFL home following their respective rookie contracts. This trio is three of the six former Georgia Bulldogs that are playing in the UFL.

The UFL has eight teams and features a 10-week regular season. It will be televised on ESPN, FOX and ABC. The league will end with a championship game on June 14.
