Roy Hibbert, Joakim Noah, DeMar DeRozan, Dirk Nowitzki, Joe Johnson, Paul Millsap and John Wall have been selected to the 2014 All-Star Game as Eastern Conference reserves.

Tony Parker, Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Dirk Nowitzki, James Harden, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard were named as Western Conference reserves.

Lance Stephenson, Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousns, DeAndre Jordan, Mike Conley, Arron Afflalo and Tim Duncan were not voted to the game.

Phoenix's Goran Dragic has been passed over for the Western Conference All-Star reserves, league source tells Yahoo.
Dirk got the wild card spot over Dragic? Really?

I think Dragic absolutely deserves to be the injury replacement for Kobe even though I know that Anthony Davis would be easier to market for the NBA since the game is in New Orleans. West already has 5 big men though so not sure it makes sense to add more...plus Dragic is the best player of a winning playoff team in the competitive West.

Dirk is a forward and having a very good season.

The question is if Goran deserved it over Lillard, Harden or Parker.

Conley or Dragic should probably replace Kobe.

If position does not matter Anthony Davis obviously deserves it. He has been a top 10 player in the NBA.

It's hard to be a top 10 player when your team is 19-26 and has some pretty good players/All Star in Jrue Holliday, Gordon, Evans etc.

If you have decent players on your team and your team is still terrible then I don't thin you can be considered a top 10 player no matter how much you stat pad in those losses.

Top 10 players this year would be Durant, LeBron, George, Griffin, Love, Harden, Parker, Curry, LMA and Lillard. And all those guys are on winning teams and almost all of them are on playoff teams.

Davis & Cousins would be top 15 no doubt but for top 10, team success plays a part in it.

It's a real shame Dragic won't be going (I'm assuming Anthony Davis is the Kobe replacement) because this is likely his best chance to make good on that 1m bonus on his contract with all the injuries.
