I don't understand how all star voting can start 2 weeks into the season

I do not know any D'back position player that should be in the All-Star game more than Estrada. Right now he is 1st in RBIs among catchers, Tied for 6th in Homeruns, and tied for 2nd in doubles. In addition to those numbers, he is one of seven catchers who has yet to commit an error this season.

Just a reminder to you guys that All-Star voting has begun and that we have a chance to see some of our guys in it.

Submitted a couple of ballots. I'm not one of those fans who votes for my entire team rather I vote for who is deserving. IMO, the All-Star games in all sports are a load of crap because fans vote for undeserving players. Yao Ming blows everyone away in NBA voting while Shawn Marion barely makes the team each year. Ken Griffey Jr. will prob win in MLB this year and he's been on the DL the whole season. Anyways, the only Dbacks I voted for were Counsell and Estrada. I didn't vote for Tracy because Miguel Cabrera is having an unbelievable year and as much as I wanted to vote for CoJack, Pujols/Berkman/Delgado are in front of him.

While Renteria and Reyes have been great for their teams at SS, I think Counsell has been the most valuable. He does evrything great on and off the field and deserves national respect

Johnny Estrada started the year slow at the plate but has been unreal defensively from the start. Now that he's swinging a hot bat and has the offensive numbers, he deserves votes. I can't remember ever watching a player who hits the ball so hard nearly every time up like Estrada does (CoJack maybe). There aren't many NL catchers who are all around catchers like Estrada. Lo Duca has been good for the Mets as well
