Allen Lazard is set to remain with the New York Jets in 2025, but the veteran receiver will be taking a significant pay cut to do so.

Lazard was originally set to make $11 million during the 2025 NFL season but is reducing his salary by $8.5 million, per Jason Fitzgerald of OverTheCap.com.

Lazard will make $1.75 million in guarantees on his restructured deal. His cap hit will drop from $13.2 million to $4.6 million.

The 29-year-old will also now be a free agent after the season. He was originally set to be under contract through the 2026 campaign as part of the four-year, $44 million deal he signed with the Jets in 2023.

While signing Lazard helped the Jets in their pursuit of Aaron Rodgers, the veteran receiver has struggled to carve out a role in New York. He posted just 60 catches for 841 yards and seven touchdowns across his first two seasons (26 games) with the Jets.

Despite this, Lazard is the last man standing among the former Green Bay Packers pass-catchers the Jets brought over to make Rodgers more comfortable. Randall Cobb retired following the 2023 season while Davante Adams joined the Los Angeles Rams in free agency.
