We'll see how it works out, but, on paper, this draft looks better to me(feel free to post your own alternate draft):

1- Brandon Cooks, WR: slot WR was obviously a need. Take the best one.

2- Morgan Moses, OT: he gives you RT to go along with FA addition Veldheer and gives the Cards potential long-time bookend OT's.

3- Kareem Martin, DE: I like the Martin, provides need and value.

4- Pierre Desir, CB: provides size and speed at the CB in the mold of Cromartie and PP. He could learn this year and step in next year.

5- Ed Reynolds, S: rangy safety that can hit and cover.

6- Marion Grice, RB: very productive RB that can catch the ball with the best of them.

If we had less than 17 TDs scored on by TEs last year we are in the playoffs. Safety was by far the biggest draft fix we needed to get there this year and I think Bucannon was the ideal selection for that spot. I think we also got the right TE for BA's offense.

My concern there is all the reports say coverage is his weakness right now not his strength.

But I am willing to wait on him apparently several teams liked him in teh first round not just us.

True. Listening between the lines I got the impression that Mike Leach feels Deone's coverage skill was not his best attribute.
