Falls short of a Dennis Green meltdown, but he is not happy.

Does it even count as a press conference when it's just the coach and an echo? Seriously, how many people were in there? Two? Embarrassing.

I like Gentry, it's unfortunate he's been dealt such a poor hand.

I agree. Unfortunately there is no use talking when nobody is listening... and I'm talking about the players. Nash was more flat than anyone last night.

I get his frustration and don't blame him but the part where he says they have to decide what kind of team they are it utter garbage. The team is what it is when the players that we have.

He knows it even if he isn't going to say it. If it was that simple I am sure every player on this roster would decide they are a title contending team.

I get what you're saying and while I think this team has almost no future, for the here and now I don't think this team is playing to it's potential. We're playing very uninspired ball at home and I think that's what has him in an uproar. This team isn't good enough to do much but there's really no excuse for them to not be hovering around .500.

Isn't that what average teams do though? Do you consider this team above average? Teams like the Suns play good one night and bad the next. No consistency. I think they are actually where I thought they would be.

I think Gentry's frustration comes from the Suns not playing hard in the first half. Although the Suns are not a good team, there is no excuse for not putting out the effort.

Isn't that sort of a cliche view though? I remember when I played sports the coaches screaming at us for not putting out the effort but when I looked around my team mates were freaking exhausted and I knew we were playing our asses off.

Isn't this really more of a reflection of inconsistent play from an average team? I watched that game and I couldn't see guys going through the motions. I saw a team making a bunch of mistakes and doing some bonehead things.

Not really, at least in my opinion. Last night was the first time that I asked myself is Nash putting out the effort, especially offensively. The Suns could have used more shooting from him last night.

Good point but is this new from Nash? Just food for thought but we have been seeing this from Nash the last couple seasons where some games he looks just out of it offensively. Many people have said this is because of fatigue.

If there was anybody on the team that I would personally never question his effort it would be Nash. That guy still practices harder than anybody on the team. They say he puts in extra work every practice.

And the guy on the right is recording with his cell phone?

What news org does he work for? The Trader Joes Newsletter?

This team is so irrelevant it hurts.

How can he shoot when he's being double teamed on very possession? Most teams know that they can leave everyone else wide open and get away with it now. Unless Gortat sets a screen for him, he doesn't have much of an opportunity to shoot. And even then, thanks to the double team, he's usually blocked after the screen.

Its a grueling season. Teams are resting players and just taking losses. I know Gentry is frustrated, but the combo of things going on right now almost dictates this.

Honestly a 66 game season of basketball isn't that grueling. Your job is to get in shape and play basketball for 48 minutes a night.

And you know this from experience?

I wasn't referring to those scenarios at all. I was referring to times when Nash seems to lack aggressiveness on the offensive end which tends to happen with him more often on back to backs for example.
