Kudos to the Cardinals. Wiz, Graves, Kiem and everyone else involved...

Love Floyd. Am buying into PA Cards enthusiasm.
Don't know much about Fleming, but dig what I'm hearing.
Love, love, the Massie pick. Kiper, McShay, Mayock, all love the pick in the fourth. Some think he has to talent to play LT down the road somewhere.
Love the Kelemete pick. Deuce two.
Bethel looks a heck of a lot faster on tape than the 4.59 or so listed on his bio. He will make an impact on special teams this year. BIG IMPACT!
Potter at 7 is the pick I am least excited about, but that's more a reflection of my excitement about the other picks than it is of his potential.

My favorite pick, however, next to Floyd, is Ryan Lindley. To take a flyer on a guy with his type of arm and production at the college level is sheer genius. I've watched a few games of his, and believe me, his arm is live. His touch is not as bad as I've heard from others. A project, yes. But a project with one hell of a high ceiling. I especially liked what Trent Dilfer liked.

Great draft. I can't recall another draft where I was genuinely happy about each and every pick. Ecstatic about a couple even.

Go Cards!!!!

Final not on Floyd. Heard on radio yesterday that Floyd (as do most ND players) looks a tad slow during home games because of the thick, tall, grass in their stadium, and thus his 40 time is more indicative of his true speed. I know, duh!

No Selemete is not Deuce two.

Selemete can LITERALLY run circled around Deuce's fat arse.

Adam Snyder, and Colledge better watch out, IMO.

Amazing Draft?!?! What are you guys smoking?

First pick is a guy whose only knows how to run one route. To the local bar.
Next pick is a Big 12 DB where they haven't played defense in 10 years and got suspended for Academic Fraud at a school that has no academics.
Third pick is a guy no other team wanted and dropped 2 rounds in the draft
4th pick nobody can even remember his name
5th pick is the annual Cards throw a bone to the small schools selection.
6th pick they went into a time warp and drafted Double Duece again.
7th pick was Harry Potters cousin Nate. We're not playing Quidditch for Godsake.

Worst draft since 2002.

:stick:

Loved our draft! Think they stuck to BPA the entire way and really benefited because of it. Won't say I think this is the best draft of all time but we could have been much much worse.

The one thing I really enjoyed this year was the impression left from scouts after every pick we put in. I can't even count how many times the Cards picked and Kiper, Mayock, etc. all seemed extremely impressed with the way things were going for the Cardinals. Was a lot of fun to watch this year.

EDIT: Gotta say though, I think the new draft schedule is God awful. Thursday felt way to short and not what the opening day of the draft should feel like. Friday was ok because we got two rounds but the sad part is the back half of the draft, today, was my favorite day and that's not the way this is supposed to feel. I'm supposed to be the most excited for early picks but there was nothing left to be desired about because I couldn't put an entire day into it. Little splurts blow. Give me back my entire draft weekend!

It was frustrating, especially after we let Burfict slip through our fingers in the first round.

What a change to have an offensive guard who will have to work to keep weight on.

We need a true #2 WR and draft Floyd in Rd1...BPA, yeah right. Must have become drinking buddies with the scouts.

Toler coming off of surgery, Marshall gone via FA, AJ Jefferson sucking most of the season, Rhodes is now injury prone, Adub two years in a row with injury and can't cover a one legged Shocky, Marshay Green a midget who can't cover, Mike Adams- a midget who can cover at times, PP a #5 pick whose only asset is punt returns.......Obviously a NEED pick.

Massie is BPA and a steal because some draft pundits thought he could go in rd 2? How about we don't have a RT that is even practice squad talented.

Forget the Semoyan named dude who has to move to OG and is skinny. Only 21 some reps in the bench, freaking pansie.

How about a QB who can't complete more than 53% of his passes in his Sr. year. Or the DB whose only attribute is jumping high enough to avoid contact.

Finally a true prospect in the 7th rd at OT. Only reason he is drafted is because Colledge only agreed to redo his contract if we signed his friend.

I also think this class sucks and we are on our way back to Dave McGinnis-Ville

Take the emotion and love for the Cards out of the evaluation, if you can.

I think we had a nice draft, mainly depth. If Floyd isn't a bust, we did get 1 starter, maybe 2 but only because we are so weak at the OL.

But the real test is to compare how much better we got compared to the team we are chasing, the Niners. When I look at their draft, again trying to be objective, I don't think we reduced their lead over us. In fact, they may have had a more productive draft. Time will tell. But they really improved the areas they were weak at, and maybe better than we did. The fact that we didn't have a 2nd round pick really hurt us. We can only hope that Kolb comes through and makes it worthwhile for us.

I think we needed to get an Ingram or Hightower type player to toughen up front. If we had done that, I would say we made some progress on catching the Niners.

Okay hater. Time for you to go shower with the 49ers.

J/K :D

The niners are going to be tough year in and year out for quite some time.

Our main hope is Alex Smith is who we thought he was. If he becomes a top 15 QB then they will own us until we get a top notch QB.

Or the not so genius plan of playing good D and not sucking on Offense while getting an inordinate amount of turn overs is not a long term plan for success.

Catch the 4and9ers???? Didn't we beat them last time we played? Two of our best defensive players and our #1 QB will have a full off season to work for the first time. We have a revamped offensive line. A young aggresive defense and the Alien on offense. Plus all the stud rookies from this draft. Catch them? They need to catch us.

Oh, you said to put homerism aside. Sorry.

Why didn't we just draft Irvin at #13, we could of had the best SS sized guy playing OLB ever and in the 1st round!

If you want to show people how smart you are, you gotta find those 3-4th round picks and have the guts to take them in the 1st. Show the league whats up and that you mean business.

I envy the Seahawks. Can we trade our 1st next year for Russell Wilson? They have Flynn, don't you think we can pry Wilson away? It'll make him better going against 6 foot 8 CC all the time.

+1 for an amazing draft, and also because I needed a thread to test out my forum reader on my phone.

Sent from my SCH-I405 using Tapatalk 2 <-- Works great, BTW!

Because we already did that with Raynoch Thompson and LeVar Fisher. Though not in the first round. We're way past that now. Catch us Seahawks!

100% agree. Miss having the draft all weekend, and its kind of hard to do something on a weekday night due to work - especially at 5 pm

I hate, hate, hate saying this, but the Cards staff should get out of town for awhile, because they are probably wanted for murder. They just absolutely KILLED the 2012 draft. A+ in my book. Value all over the place.

I think this was a pretty good draft. :) I'm shocked that we picked 3 o-linemen. :)

I'd have preferred that we didn't draft another developmental qb. Maybe we can somehow fleace some other team into giving up a decent pick for him a few years down the line. :p

I wish we had gotten a pass rusher though. I like Acho but I'm not sold on Schofield.
