I love what we did so f***ing much even though I hated the Floyd pick at the time. If just one of the three OT pick pans out we're a way better team from it. Three???? I'm in a good dream and never want to be woken up.

I think this was a pretty good draft. :) I'm shocked that we picked 3 o-linemen. :)

I'd have preferred that we didn't draft another developmental qb. Maybe we can somehow fleace some other team into giving up a decent pick for him a few years down the line. :p

I wish we had gotten a pass rusher though. I like Acho but I'm not sold on Schofield.

This is a good take on our draft. We could have done a little better and we could have done worse.

I give it a B+ because we didn't take Nate Ebner when we had the chance.

Good topic.

I think we have done what this organization needed to do in order to compete in the division.

The Rams and Niners are becoming very physical teams, yes. Well the offensive linemen we took are going to help that, IMO.

The rest ? DB's and WR's. Our WR core is again dangerous. I have said this a million times if I have said it once.

WR:
Fitz
Floyd
Roberts
Doucet
Housler
Best player in camp

That is dangerous. Roberts and Doucet are just not outside WR's or #2 WR's but they ARE very good slot WR's or #3, and #4. Roberts and Doucet get a whole lot better just by pushing them inside where they belong and putting a big body WR on the outside, and with speed no less. Add Housler on the inside and we got something special in our recieving core again.

As for DB's ? There is an immense amount of young talent in that secondary, and the best thing about them ? They ALL CAN HIT!

Bring on the Niners.

Don't forget Jeff King. A solid blocker who had 27 receptions and 3 TDs last season. Best production from a TE since Leonard Pope had 23 and 5 TDs in 2007.

I was thinking the same thing about Roberts and Doucet. These two performed okay on the outside but in the slot they will be VERY dangerous.

Our TE's will add enough of a threat to keep opposing D's off balance.

I know several fans will hate this but we will pass early and often in games to get the lead and then start pounding them on the ground in the 2nd half.

No Selemete is not Deuce two.

Selemete can LITERALLY run circled around Deuce's fat arse.

Adam Snyder, and Colledge better watch out, IMO.

Just a hunch, but wouldn't be surprised if they train Selemete as the backup Centre at camp.

I don't know why anyone other than a certain poster whose screen name begins with a T would hate that. It is the tried and true method for winning in the NFL and is exactly what CKW said he wanted to do when he was hired. He just hasn't been able to accomplish the pounding on the ground part yet.

Hopefully this will be the year.

The one who shall not be named.

There are several others that always complain we didn't run the ball early and often enough in games.

But I do agree with you that it is the basic method for winning in the NFL.

Since before Buddy, I have been a vocal advocate of attacking our chronic OL problem with more than a couple of young quality OL talent, because I don't think you can fix a major problem by nibbling at the edges incrementally.

Finally.

At least "on paper." (we won't know if this draft was "amazing" until all 3 guys go out there and get it done).

But that's the deal with drafts - They're all about hope. So in that respect, the draft was amazing.
