Americas got talent on NBC. two hours last night two more tonight.

ironic how the last few are all singers. they should just leave singers out of the competition and have them go to American idol and just have the variety acts.

Actually many many of the singers on this show dont qualify for Idol. Thats why there are on it. Idol has an age restriction.

good point i never thought of that. i would think the matson guy is within the age range for idol and jessica price though i could be wrong.

Wow what a crock the freakin opera singer....really? Eli Matson should have won that in a landslide but alas leaving anything up to America to vote usually ends up in a dumb decision. Sure the opera guy who is ok at best is going to be a big vegas hit...not. Eli will have a record deal within a week or so, he was easily the most talented performer on the show, called it in week one and it was him against the opera guy that people seemed to love because he was a nice guy, whatever lame result.

He's not amazingly talented, hes a feel good story if he didn't cry like a baby after every single performance and tell his STORY he wouldn't of had a chance. He wasn't even the most talented singer, he had weeks that were terrible so he would go back and sing one of the songs that he can sing well. Whatever I mean if a guy that can karoake 1 or 2 songs seems more talented to you than a songwriter who has all their own material and can sing anything while playing piano thats your opinion. Most feel like this was the same as last season when a talented singler lost to a freakin puppet guy I mean seriously. When I go to Vegas the last damn thing I am going to do is go to a puppet show or worse a fat insurance salesman singing some opera.

I am glad it came down to the two most HUMBLE people in the top 5. Nuthin but Stringz started to annoy me, and Queen Emily lost her mojo when she added the Queen moniker.

Congrats to Neal. He was very talented.

Eli was my favorite though. I actually thought he would come in 4th or 5th. I never thought he would get 2nd.

Both will have good careers.

I saw something about the million dollars its paid out over 40 years or something the guy probably wont even get it anyone know anything about the money payout on this show?

I would like to think that but I haven't heard anything from the second place guy last year, or any of the other singers for that mattter. I am not sure this show can do the same for people careers as Idol can. It hasn't yet anyway.

Come on, he copied Paul from BGT and won with one song. I thought he did a nice job (not in Paul's league though), but Eli is full of talent. I know he'll get a record deal and do just fine, but IMO the wrong person won.

The second place guy last year was Cas Haley and he got a record deal and you can pick up his self titled CD at Bestbuy. Its pretty good its his kinda reggae style music worth the cash imho. Eli should have won but he will make far more getting a record deal anyway so hope the less talented winner enjoys his BS win!

You are all just a bunch of Haters. Eli is great and could have just as easily won and I would be happy. But the the other guy is extremely talented. To claim otherwise IMO just shows ignorance or just a distaste for the style of music he specializes in. Im hoping its the latter. His voice is very good to the ears and extremely powerful. In fact unreal powerful. He has a gift and he uses it in the right genre.

Come on Shane, really? He had performances that were very very shaky when he tried to sing something other than the one or two songs he sang every single week (way to mix it up there). Eli is MUCH MUCH more talented as he is a songwriter, musician, and singer all in one. Its a talent show Shane meaning the talent should win, not the fat guy who cried and told his story every week and won because of the bleeding hearts wanted something good to happen for him. Whatever a pitty win is a pitty win no matter how talented you think he is, its far less than the guy who finished behind him.
