Presented by Film4Change, the AMFM Fest will screen 50 independent films ranging from features and shorts to documentaries and family-friendly offerings. Cinema highlights include the world premiere of Mariachi Gringo, a feature film produced by Martha Higareda, dubbed the “Mexican Sandra Bullock.” Festival goers will also get a chance to see the American premiere of Jackhammer, an offbeat comedy starring Pamela Anderson and Jamie Kennedy. And this year the AMFM Fest will also honor actor/poet Michael Madsen and world-renowned photographer Craig Semetko.
Hilarious Comedy Film Nerd duo Graham Elwood and Chris Mancini are on the bill, and get ready to load up your playlist: the musical lineup features several amazing bands that have played South by Southwest and Vans Warped Tour.
The opening night reception takes place atCathedralCity’s Mary Pickford Theater, followed by a weekend filled with workshops, panels and parties galore. It’s a great opportunity to discover, connect with, and be inspired by a multifaceted creative scene.
