BOSTON -- The post-trade deadline magic definitely wore off for the Boston Bruins.
During a 6-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning Saturday at TD Garden, the Bruins failed to register a shot on goal in the second period. It's the second time this season that has occurred.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay then scored three times in the second.
“Not sure what happened in the second,” Elias Lindholm said after the game. “It was embarrassing. The compete level was nowhere to be found. It was overall unacceptable and frustrating, for sure.”
Boston has lost five of its last seven games. The two wins came after the deadline with victories over the Lightning and Florida Panthers.
