The past three games Howard Eisley had some of his best games since joining the Suns.
Against Portland, he was 5 of 10 from the field, 1 of 3 for three, 3 of 3 from the line with 2 assists but 3 turnovers in 21 minutes.
Against Seattle, he was only 2 of 8 from the field, 1 of 2 for three, with 4 assists in 26 minutes. Most important, he only had 1 turnover.
Against Utah, he was 3 of 5 from the field, missed his only three, was 8 for 8 from the line, and had 7 assists in 27 minutes.
Some credit is given for the fact that he is beginning to learn the system. At the same time, I noticed that he was sporting a bandage on a sore thumb.
It struck me that maybe his sore thumb is a blessing in disguise. He knows he needs to pass the ball and may be more reluctant to shoot so many threes as he was doing earilier.
Anything that discourages Eisley from shooting three's is a good thing. He is hitting only 23.8% of his three point shots since joining the Suns.
The Suns really need Eisley to play well. Barbosa is very talented, but he very inexperienced at point. Putting Eisley at PG and Barobosa at SG has looked pretty good. Besides, he is easier to trade if he plays well.
