Ancelotti ponders Serie A return, favors Brazil option

Carlo Ancelotti is yet to make a decision about his future as time at Real Madrid winds to an end.

The Italian coach, after a positive season but marked by a heavy elimination in the Champions League, is heading towards saying goodbye to Real Madrid.

Despite the strong interest of some European clubs, including Roma in Italy, Ancelotti has already made his choice.

As reported by David Ornstein, Ancelotti’s adventure on Real’s bench should end at the end of the season, with Florentino Perez who’s decided to entrust the technical guidance to Xabi Alonso, currently a protagonist with Bayer Leverkusen.

Ancelotti, for his part, looks favorably on the proposal of the Brazilian national team, which has been courting him for months. In green and gold he would find some of his current protégés such as Vinicius Junior, Militao and Rodrygo.

Thus, at least for now, the option of a return to Serie A fades away: even the suggestion of Roma, relaunched in recent weeks, now seems distant.
