From Drummond's standpoint, thanks to injuries and the balance of power in the league, this is the absolute ideal season to be bought out. And while he could potentially help us a lot, he's going to be playing for his next big contract and some of the wealthiest markets have need of him. So, we're likely out of the running even if we'd made his short list.

...... to LAL.

With Ayton entrenched as starting C here, Drummond isn't considering PHX. He wants to start for a contender not come off the bench, he's still in his prime so I can understand.

Bickley mentioned if PHX is looking at buy out market it's for Hassan Whiteside which makes much more sense. He's been used to coming off the bench the last couple of years and is 32 years old so he isn't playing for a big pay day, he's already had one.

Probably. Lakers, Knicks, Nets, even Boston - all of them make sense. The Suns do too but if you're looking to raise your profile to get another max deal, you can't do better than LA (either team), New York (either team) or Boston.

I would take Dieng over Whiteside.

boston is probably the BEST place he could go. They really have nothing inside and he could be a starter and a solid missing piece for them after getting Fournier and losing Theis. on the LA's he's going to be a bench role player if AD comes back. And not knowing what's up with that might make him think twice about it being a great place to showcase his talent for another contract. The Nets... they already have some bigs and he'd probably be a bench guy again.

with us, he'd be a bench guy. and we're not one of the favorites like the LA's or Nets.

I wonder if Cousins failed stints with the Lakers would be a warning for someone like Drummond. I know he'll consider them but having seen another C try to rehab his career there and fail has to cause some concern.

I just don't see that being a consideration. Cousins was a shadow of his former self and most everyone expected that to be the case, Drummond is healthy and in his prime. I think it's more dependent on how he views his chances of big minutes given AD's health.
