I wasn't too hot on the idea of him coming here but there are some things to consider.
It could be the fastest way to correct the QB situation. He knows exactly what he is getting in Kolb.
We would probably see a west coast offensive approach which I believe best suits Kolb.
He is a proven commodity. We wouldn't be taking a chance on an another "apprentice".
He would probably be able to assemble a staff rather quickly.
Some posible pitfalls.
Has the game passed him by? His last 2 years have been less than stellar. However, the last two years coincides with injuries along the offensive line and terrible QB play. But didn't he allow Kolb to leave in favor of Vick?
Did the trauma he go thru over the last 2 years with his son effect his coaching? Very understandable, but if so, is he at a point in his life where it is behind him?
His style and tendencies are well documented where as if we were to get a guy like Chip Kelly......

Any possibility of AR being interviewed to be GM?
I would be ALL for Reid if we had a strong GM to keep him in check. Reid gets out of hand when he gets too much player power. But he's a good coach* and would be perfect for this team. Guy works QBs well and Kolb would be happy under him.
I don't want Reid walking all over a rookie GM though, like Keim.
McCoy is intriguing - he had a good offense with Orton, then tweaked it to get Tim Effing Tebow to the playoffs, then had the wisdom to let Peyton be Peyton and not try to fit him into a system. That, to me, says a lot. Means he can make good decisions for the betterment of the team, can think offensively, and in a HC position, would let the OC run the offense and the DC run the defense instead of meddling. I like the thought of McCoy.

Didn't he say they will also look at college coaches? Possibly Chip Kelly?
Oh, and WCO here would be VERY successful, IMO.
He did mention college coaches too.

Reid is a good GM and an horrible HC. I'd rather have kept Whiz than watch this fat bozo bumble away every close game, do nothing as his team devolves into the turnover prone bunch of morons and spend all of his time outs in the 1st quarter because he can decide which bootleg play to run.

I think McCoy deserves a little more credit. He did make the Broncos 2011 team look like a halfway decent offense even though they had Tebow at QB. They had the number one rushing offense in the league a year ago and teams didn't even respect their passing game. I think that says something about his abilities.
The more I think on it, the more I'm backing into the walrus camp. Yikes. You know who else loves him some WCO? Kolb.
LOL. Literally. Because that's exactly it. But I think he's a good HC. And a good GM. Just not a HC/GM.
Again, literally LOL'd at that. And again, WCO fits us so well.
McCoy is probably the guy I'd be the most happy with, personally.

Id be excited about Reid and Kolb but im still a little weary considering the talent Philly has had and hasnt won.
The most important thing here is that Cards retain horton long term, if they dont do that this offseason, then we run the risk of the defense taking a big step back

It's a thought and was raised on national sports TV, but someone pointed out that what Andy likes to do is coach (& may not want to be stuck behind a desk).
Really? I hope you don't weigh more than a buck 40 or you're fat to me, or maybe you use that Phraz as a term of endearment.
On topic, Reid would be ok by me. He had several years of success but never won the big one, and like Whiz, I think his time just was over. It just took him a lot longer to get there.

Maybe it is just me, but I would be pumped to see the Fat Man (and I say that with respect and admiration for Reid) sitting down before the draft and going "Now, let's get a QB"...because I truly believe he could find one he could adapt to an offense which would work and work well.

Geno Smith. He would be real good in a west coast offense. Draft Stedman Bailey in the 3rd as well and you could see some good things come from that offense immediately.

I was not overly excited about the QBs in the draft, and had Wilson as my favorite...BUT, Andy Reid could do wonders with Geno Smith and if Andy Reid was the head coach, I would LOVE for the Cards to trade up and nab him like Reid did with another athletic QB named McNabb

Count me firmly in the people who would love to see Reid with a drafted Geno Smith. Even with Kolb, we could be successful early, as he knows the offense and could really get things rolling.
