Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers and Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels were named Wednesday as winners of Major League Baseball's Hank Aaron Awards for outstanding offensive performances. Yelich led the National League in batting average for the second year in a row by hitting .329, the first player to repeat as the NL batting champion since Larry Walker in 1998-99, and ranked fourth in the NL with 44 home runs. Trout led the American League by reaching base on 43.8 percent of his plate appearances and set a career high with 45 homers, scoring at least 100 runs for the seventh time in his nine-year career and driving in at least 100 runs for the third time.
