If the Cardinals disbanded and you had to choose another team... who would it be? Mine would be the Chicago Bears. Tradition going way back like the Cards, heck the Cardinals once played in Chicago, plus I was a big fan of Gale Sayers and Walter "Sweetness" Payton. Anyone else have a Cardinal runner up for this mindless thread.

I plan on taking a road trip to San Diego this year to see the Chargers play. They aren't to far away to see a few games. Plus it's a nice city to visit.

Broncos baby!!!!! Jake gave me the 2 most enjoyable football-watching years of my life(ASU's ROSE BOWL SEASON and the '98 Cardinals playoff run), and though he has regressed somewhat, everytime I hear "Cardinals" I still picture him before anyone else. It's called an adjustment period.

1. Cards -only became a Cards fan in about 1996 when I moved here really started following them in 2001

2. Bills - born in Buffalo, huge bills fan, despaired from 1990-1994. I like Bledsoe alot-will have good offense and better d

3. Jets - became Jets fan after watching them last year

The best part about being a Cards fan and still following the bills is that:
I CAN ALWAYS HATE THE COWBOYS!

I guess I'd go back to my original favorite team, the Chiefs. That sure would suck though.

There is another football team in town, and you always get your money's worth from them. Go and watch them play. Arizona Rattlers.

It would be hard to ever reconnect with any team since I saw my first Card game in 1945. I was living on the north side of Chicago so it was Charlie Trippi that made me a Cardinal fan. Of course I was a Cub fan also and will always be. If I had to make a choice I guess its da Bears.

Been a Cardinal fan since I was 13 (1975), have never known anything else.

Okay, I considered myself a Steeler fan when the Super Bowl rolled around in the late 70's, but that's only because I hated the Cowboys and two of my sisters thought Franco Harris and Lynn Swann were cute. I looked up to both of those gals.

Ahhh . . . those were the days.

As many of you, I would go back to the team I grew up with, the Vikings. I miss Fran and Rashaad, among others. I really hate seeing Fran doing fishing lure commercials on QVC.

I would probably pull for the Carolina Panthers, since I am originally from Carolina and I still pull for any Carolina school.

My next favorite team would be the Jets.

I was a Vikings fan as well. They were my favorite team before the Cardinals moved here. I still root for them as my #2 now.

Hate the packers and the bears!

Difficult call to make. My Rams are now in St. Louis, and my interest has waned in them since their move to "The Gateway To The West". Their Super Bowl victory was a swan-song of sorts for me, with that being that last time I could really root for them. When they changed their uniforms, that sealed the deal that they were no longer my "Hollywood" Rams.

I grew up in Washington State, and have watched the Seahawks since '76 when they started. I would have to say the Seahawks would become my team by default.

I could never, and will never root for the Vikings or the Cowboys. There is too much resentment watching them beat my Rams in the playoffs and go on to the Super Bowl.

I'm just happy this is a hypothetical question...

i was an enormous rams fan before we got the cards, and even for quite a few years with the cards 'til the rams moved to st.louis. i remember sneaking a rams hat into a giants game (my friend's father forbade me from bringing it into the stadium, so i stuck it down my pants and whipped it out right after flipper scored). i agree, the uni change killed any residual interest. i didn't even get any satisfaction outta their superbowl win. sad. I was a neo-bears fan due to my pops' passion (yeah, our fam hails from chi-town), but now, with my proximity to SD, and with the crew they're building, Brees, LT, and Boston, I would have to go in that direction. in fact, I think the chargers are officially my second favorite now.

If the Cards were to disband, my new NFL team Depth Chart would be as follows:

1. Falcs - Dirty South, Vick the Quick, Peerless Price, Keith Brooking, Kearney (KVB if KVB were good), T.J. Duckett (put it together, baby). They have it all to be good for 3-7 years.

2. Steelers - History, a great coach, cool, prototype WRs (the little team player in Ward, the big, flashy star in Buress, the crazy little slow guy in the slot), nasty O-Line, and freewheeling D. Also, the best Unis in the NFL. And only one decal on the helmet.

3. Bucs - Second-best unis in the NFL. This was one of my favorite teams, but it got really tarnished when they bumped Shaun King from the top of the depth chart, then did Dungy the way they did, and got Pittman and Chucky. I hate Warren, but I like Ronde and Lynch, and Keyshawn is pretty funny.

4. Titans - Somehow put a good team on the field every season, and Steve McNair is really, really gritty and a great leader.

No idea, really.

But back in the late-80s/early-90s I almost had to face this dilemma for real. The Cardinals weren't really getting any better and I was getting fed up with it. So I told my roommate at the time, that the Cardinals needed to win 5 games the next season or I would hold a Supplemental Draft (worst team got 28 slips of paper in the bag, next worst got 27, and so on until the best team got 1) to pick a new team...and, of course, I needed to stick with whoever I picked, even if it was the Cowboys.

Alas, the Cardinals won 7 games the next season and I was spared. Of course, my roomie, who used to get nutty for stuff like this, couldn't wait for the Supplemental Draft, so one weekend after hundreds of beers (or at least it seemed like it), he convinced me to do the draft and see who I would have picked. So we did, and I picked...

the Buffalo Bills!

The Titans would be up there on my list too. I also like Jacksonville, though to be totally honest, I hate every NFL team except for the Cards.

Have to be the Chargers. San Diego is one of my favorite cities to visit and the Californians there aren't quite as full of themselves as Los Angeleans. Plus I went to Purdue all three years Brees was a starter so I want to see him do very well.

I liked the Buccaneers when they were bad.
Now they're good and I hate them.

They drafted Rick Berns in 1979. When I was seven, I got Rick Berns' autograph at an autograph session set up in Baker's grocery store. I had him sign it "To my best friend Brent." Yep, pure dork. I still have it.
