The Arizona Cardinals have rebuilt their outside linebacker room and their defensive line room in free agency. They signed Dalvin Tomlinson and Calais Campbell and re-signed L.J. Collier for the D-line. They brought back Baron Browning and signed Josh Sweat, and they have BJ Ojulari coming back from a torn ACL.
While they could add another player in the NFL draft, they could also still reach to the free agent well again.
Pro Football Network named a free agent that every team should still sign. For the Cardinals, it was another pass rusher — DeMarcus Walker.
Walker had seven sacks in 2022 for the Tennessee Titans, so Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort would know him and whether he would fit now.
As things stand right now, the Cardinals have Sweat, Browning, Ojulari, Zaven Collins and 2024 rookie Xavier Thomas in addition to some offseason end-of-roster guys who will compete in the offseason program.
Walker is an addition that would make sense if they don't draft an edge defender. Otherwise, it would seem unnecessary.

The Arizona Cardinals ranked 25th in pressure rate last season, according to TruMedia. With the addition of Josh Sweat to the defensive line, this is a clear step in the right direction. That shouldn’t stop them from double-dipping, especially when looking at their interior defensive line.
DeMarcus Walker ranked 93rd of 179 pass rushers with at least 200 pass rushing snaps last season in pressure rate. He also ranks 90th out of 211 defensive linemen in PFF run-defense grade. The great thing about Walker is that he has experience playing on the interior as well as the edge.
While he isn’t a home-run signing, Walker would provide some much-needed depth to Arizona’s defensive line at a relatively cheap price.
