Not clear yet how serious this one is but apparently James Keefe sophomore to be forward hurt his shoulder and they're saying he could miss a few months which would put it going into the season. There's some speculation if it's serious enough that they will just redshirt him since they could be thin up front next year anyways.

With Love, Mata, Luc and Aboya (and Dragovic) they might be deep enough upfront. Keefe had a very slow freshman year but really played quite well in limited minutes in the tournament against IU, Pitt and even Kansas, the light went on, he figured out the defensive switches, and he'd reportedly put on 12+ pounds of muscle since the end of the year so I was expecting him to be a contributor.

Could also result in some PT for incoming frosh Chace Stanback who's more of a SF but athletic enough to see some time at PF if necessary.

It's official, he separated the shoulder earlier in the offseason and it's gotten bad enough he needs surgery. Initial reports are could be out until Februrary so redshirting is a real possibility.

Tough break for Keefe he'd REALLY worked hard to improve.
