Interviewed by Laura Okmin on Tuesday eve.
Q:How do you feel about Ken Whisenhunt?
A: He's excited. Talked to some of the Steelers players and learned Whis is a "players coach" and very innovative.

Q: As a former H.S. QB are you ready for the trick plays and throwing the ball?
A: Yeah. Apparently, the Cardinal receivers and QBs have some kind of a weekly throwing contest to see who buys lunch on Fridays. According to Q, the receivers always win.

Q:What happened to the Cardinals, who were well-hyped before the season?
A: Didn't play well consistently. Played well in spurts, but that's not good enough. Gave the ball to Edge in situations where it wasn't the right thing to do, e.g. defense playing 8-in-the-box.

Q:What happened in the Bears game?
A: Felt the offense got too conservative. Played not to lose, instead of to win later in game.

Q: Seen any progress in Matt Leinart as the season went along?
A: Yes, he's smart, intelligent, started strong, hit a wall, then blossomed at the end.

Q: What about your winery, even though you don't drink wine.
A: He bought a Napa Valley winery as an investment.

You have to respect Q's candor, just because he tells it like it is. He doesn't look to personally attack anyone, but in those comments, I think it shows that he thought the coaches made poor decisions last season. He's one player I would like to be able to talk to. I wonder what he really thought about Green. I would trust it to be true, the good, the bad and the ugly. He was the player that launched the transformation of this team. The player that gave them a pulse. He's been through it all.

I agree that Q's the heart of this team!
