Could have told you of some options in my neck of the woods where you could have saved money and stayed at a decent hotel. We have a Wingate, Hampton, Holiday Inn Express which would have been cheaper than Deptford and would only add about 30 minutes travel time to the stadium. We are going. We're staying at a different hotel though - the Courtyard in Deptford. Too expensive for my blood at the other one where the big group is staying (and may be the team's hotel?).
It's not that bad anymore. Not as bad as the old Vet days where fans were so bad they put a jail cell in the stadium. They're still douchebags but they're not quite as bad as they used to be. Even Cowboys fans can attend with minimal harassment.Be careful and stay together in pairs.
I've gone to many many away games and Philly has been by far the most dangerous.
I didn't even drink at the game and was physically assaulted by a drunk fan there.
I didn't mind everyone calling us an ass hole from the moment we got out of the car in our cardinals jersey...but you'll see there fans are **** bags.
As you walk to the stadium everyone from grown men to little children (even 5 year olds) and women yell Ass Hole at you...and I mean EvERYONE.
Inside the stadium it gets worse.
They got in our face cussing and threatening us with our lives because of an away jersey.
I was physically grabbed by a huge dude and picked up. No one and I mean no one came to stop him...including security.
Security will NOT help you there.
Be very careful and that goes for any friends or family with you.
NJ you're absolutely right from what I hear. My wife would not let me go to the night game Cards massacre a few years back because she was too worried. From all accounts, there were no issues. It's not that bad anymore. Not as bad as the old Vet days where fans were so bad they put a jail cell in the stadium. Too bad Michael won't listen to some of fans & sells throwbacks like the Iggles did at their stadium today Luv the Iggles as well as ours!

I was there with my Fitz jersey on and even a Cardinals Santa hat and I had a few idiots call me an cornholio which instead of retorting I simply pointed at the scoreboard(a 40-17 game tends to shut people up) not to mention in our section there were a lot of Card fans(not like the Vet days when I was the lone Card fan in my section). And the truly bad days to be an opposing fan was during Buddy Ryan's tenure. But the Linc is a lot tamer. I wish I were going today but as I said, I have a lot on my plate and not a lot of time to get it done(we're leaving for Florida on Saturday and I need to get my RV ready for the long journey).NJ you're absolutely right from what I hear. Most teams have throwback jerseys. Cards are one of the few older teams who don't with the exception of Tillman's jersey. But I would love to buy a red #66 or a white with the Cardinal on the sleeve #17 or #32 or a #8 red with the 3/4 sleeves.Bucky that would be sweet! It's damn near impossible to find Cardinal throwbacks so it would only make sense to put them in the team store. The iggles have em available left and right.
Don't be sorry for me. I Love The game day experience, and spending time with my son.... priceless.so sorry for u guys making the trip to philadelphia to attend that show
That's right Mike we had a blast visiting DC & Philly regardless off the outcome!!! BA did a selfie with me & coach Rick Christofel tossed me a ball for my early day present lol Way more meaning to me & my girl on these trips than W's & L'sDon't be sorry for me. I Love The game day experience, and spending time with my son.... priceless.
Note the guy with the Wes Hopkins shirt on. Why don't Cards fans wear old tyme jerseys like this? I have a Plummer I wear on occasion and have an Emmitt Smith somewhere. On NFL Shop, Cards have 2 throwbacks; Tillman and Warner. The Eagles have 9 different player throwbacks including Terrell Owens who played all of 21 games for the Eagles(oddly enough, no McNabb).xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
