I was listening to the NFL radio network and whomever the commentator was said that he was hearing that KC had the inside track with the PATS right behind. He also said that the Cardinals talk is all coming from the Law camp. His sources are telling him that Law would like to play in Arizona but the Cards have absolutely no interest in him. I got the impression that his sources with the Cards feel that they have a couple of good young corners that they feel are ready to step up if they get the playing time, and what they don't need is a big contract rent-a-player to slow thier development.

the potential of 5-10 interceptions and whatever else you might think he can do is not worth the $6+ or whatever he settles on. i am not a real chemistry guy....BUT...if i were one of the other players busting their butts for a contract extension etc and i saw law walk in i would not be a happy camperl...as much as i think he could make a positive contribution, the net no discount might in fact be a negative and actually you might have a tough time pointing to the reason....maybe that one missed block/tackle etc.

You could say that about any free agent signing.

A big 2 page spread talked up the team and in the rumors section we were the only cuub mentioned in the same sentence as Ty Law. The quote was something to the effect of: with 4 million left uder the cap - after the 4.1 million allocated for rookie signings - the Cardinals are still interested in Ty Law, but will only deal if his current asking price comes down. Nothing else was mentioned about the free agent, so he must have scared off other suitors for the time being.

My guess is that he's with someone by the second week of camp. Probably the Pats.... as much as I would love to see him on our roster for 2-3 years.
