I am skeptical of even an abrieviated season until at least s year passes. Unlike the NFL which was a battle over profitability, the NBA locakout cannot be resolved unless there are huge changes. Even some ridicouslus proposals are reviewed, I'm not sure we can garanee anything is off the table.
1. HARD CAP - Weaker teams love it while strong beams amd the players, agents and strong teams hate it.
2. LIMITS TO LONG TERM CONTRACTS: I expect both the lenth and growth rate permitted will be changed.
3. CHANGE HOW REFEREES ARE JUDGED: The current system has not solved the blatant inconsistency of calling. Stern has his own agenda and Jackson does what Stern asks. Managers, GM's and the refs themselves have no imput. Sterns' solution to complaints is to fine the complainer rather than find out what is legitiamate.
